Even though Jean grew up surrounded by arts and music in Taiwan, the career as an artist was still not encouraged at the time. She chose Engineering as a career instead.

Immigrated to the States in her early 20's to pursue the Master Degree, Jean started her Engineering career in Chicago afterwards.

 

She acquired her understanding of painting basics through attending work shops, demos and studied videos with many outstanding artists. She worked very hard trying to develop her own style that will speak her inner desires for beauty.

Jean is a long-time member of Pallet and Chisel Club where she is blessed to have opportunities to paint professional models and be able to paint with a lot other wonderful artists. She is also a member of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago and Oil Painters of America.

​

She had become a full-time painter since 2019 and her paintings started being collected throughout the States.
